Exxon Lake George: Bathroom Review

The next level of immersive entertainment.

overview

On my way back home from Escape LG's The Mineshaft, I had to go to the bathroom, so we pulled over to a random Exxon. If you don't know Exxon, it's your standard gas station, complete with the convenience store and free ice on the side. I had no idea I was about to encounter an experience 10 times more immersive than the game I had just played.

I wouldn't be the same after that fateful trip to the Exxon bathroom. It changed me, for better or for worse, I don't know.

I'm just gonna copy and paste my review of the bathroom here.

the review

Ok, so I normally am never the type of person to review every single place I go, but I had to do this. This place is just an average gas station - with one exception.

THE BATHROOM EXPERIENCE IS ONE OF A KIND.

If you ever want to feel like you're in a horror movie, there is no place to do it better than this Exxon bathroom. When I first walked in, I thought I entered the movie Saw. The white tiles covering every surface - probably once white - were now McDonald's burger gray. Many were cracked, black stuff filling the interior, adding some unease to the place. A single toilet stood alone, with a sink to the right and a diaper changing station that looked like it would impale any unfortunate baby who was being changed on it. No paintings or decorations were in the entire room, keeping the place as immersive as possible. As I sat down to take a massive dump, I noticed the flickering light overhead, adding ambience and injecting fear into me. It lit up some of the tiles, and made a lot of them seem darker and danker than ever. I also noticed that the room was entirely quiet, other than the ominous grinding of pipes and machinery. You could hear every footstep outside, adding a new level of fright - when is someone going to come knocking, asking to come in? This kind of immersion is unparalleled in any of society's experiences today. The toilet paper really made me feel like I was captured by Jigsaw, because he'd probably replace it with sandpaper or duct tape, too. The sense of unease and fear stayed with me in a way that no other place has ever done. This is a revolutionary experience that will change the world. If you are a bathroom connoisseur, you've got to check this one out. Because of the incredible theming, immersion, and horror it distilled in me, I rate this experience 5/5 stars.
