The Lost Ship is a sequel to our original game, The Pirate’s Booty, that transports you to Cape Cod Treasure Hunter’s temporary excavation hut on an island. The shipwrecked Whydah is resting right outside our door, and we need your help to find the Captain’s lost treasure chest on the pirate shipwreck! With a brand new set and puzzle design, it’s time to come back and finish what you started when you found the treasure map! You are brought on to help the tour guide find Captain Black Sam Bellamy’s lost treasure chest!

Yeah... this is a pirate game. That's all you need to know, and that's all that's conveyed. 

Also, apparently this is a sequel. Room Escapers makes this quite clear in their description. I've never heard a thing about the original game, and you definitely don't need to have played it in order to do this one. In fact, I don't know how the story actually connects, because this game was never about the story in the first place.
