Rabbit Hole Recreation Services: Ruins of the Mystic Temple

MY AAAAAAAAARM

overview

You and your team of treasure hunters have uncovered an artifact that you believe could lead you to the location of a lost Mayan temple filled with hoards of hidden treasure. Beware, we have heard rumors that the temple is very dangerous and filled with traps for unwelcome visitors. If you don’t find the treasure quickly, it may consume you!

Another day, another temple to explore. You'd think we'd have had our fair share of treasure by now. Apparently not. We've decided to risk our lives to get some nice riches again.

There's not much story revealed after that, but who cares? Temple with treasure is all you really need to know to be interested.

This is one of the coolest sets I've seen.

Adventurers start in the jungle, at the entrance to the temple. Rabbit Hole got around the "build a landscape in a room" problem by putting players at the bottom of a rocky trench-like space, looking up to the trees. In front of them is a crumbly stone entrance to the temple, but of course, it's sealed. A simple warm-up puzzle will get players into the main playing space. However, this first jungle room may be the best looking room out of them all. It's a shame we didn't get to spend more time in it.

However, the temple set is still extraordinary. Crumbling stone walls and intricate designs fill the space, and it's completely full of secret compartments. The lighting, however, is the real star of the show on this one. It turns a cool-looking environment into an amazing one.

This multi-room game looks incredible, better than the majority of temple rooms out there. It's really something special, and apparently Rabbit Hole has some even better-looking rooms. Looks like we're gonna have to travel back to Denver soon!
